Note Cards

My interview, while limited in depth, revealed a few key aspects about the views on media from different demographics. In general, I found that younger respondants had a more apathetic view on how the media controls society. Meanwhile, my older subjects had more concern about the power of media. Especially interesting was the fear that some of the subjects had with the control of media through monopolies because of the possible power that would be in the hands of few. Almost all of them recognized the ability of media to affect decisions and society. Everyone I talked to defined media with examples, especially TV and the internet. In general my subjects were very alike.
